The Town of Edinburg Supervisor and GOP Chair is Jean Raymond. She is the longest-serving member of the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors and served as its Chair in 1998. A graduate of Stamford, CT High School, Jean attended both Norwalk, CT and Fulton Montgomery Community Colleges. She took office as Supervisor in January 1988 after owning and operating a general store in Edinburg for 10 years. She has been Edinburg GOP Chair since 1995 and currently serves on the New York Republican State Committee.
Jean served as President of the NYS Association of Counties (NYSAC), 2001-2002, and is on the Board of Directors of the NYS Association of Towns. She was also one of the founding members and continues to serve on the Board of Directors of the Adirondack Association of Towns and Villages.
